'Person of Interest' 3x21 'Beta' Gif-Tweet-Cap: Not a Good Samaritan!

I've also loaded the following gifs onto this Tumblr post. Samaritan went online in the last episode of Person of Interest, and it is now ready for its first "Beta" test. The goal of the test? Find Harold Finch! Well, and also to catch some terrorists, but of course terrorists are only a secondary goal for the evil Greer.

Shaw and Reese seem completely unaware at the moment, tracking irrelevants even as Finch has been out of touch. Shaw's first job of the episode turns into two. The first is to convince a poor papa to just take some diapers and leave his empty gun on the floor rather than continuing with his convenience store hold-up.
Her second is to beat up the real threat of the store: the stock boy who turned off the security cameras and has a gun.
As Reese and Shaw leave the store, Root pulls Shaw aside (literally) for a little chat.

The Machine has told Root about Samaritan being online for its beta test, and they need to stay out of sight of cameras and Decima henchmen. Reese temporarily refuses when he gets a pay-phone call from the Machine, until the Machine let's Root in on it: Finch's former fiancรฉe Grace is in trouble!
A Decima bad guy tricks Grace into thinking he's there to take her to the airport for a flight to Italy. She is an artist with a potential job there. Instead, he attempts to knock her out with a drug cocktail. The dynamic duo of Reese and Shaw save the day with a little one-two knockout.
They take Grace to Fusco's police precinct, but there are cameras everywhere in there, and Grace doesn't understand what's happening. Decima sends in a "Fed" to take her away, but Fusco sends him into a room to get beat up by Reese. Then Grace attempts to leave, and Root has to convince her that they're trying to help her with some crazy-talk.
Finally, Root instructs Fusco on bringing her the tools she needs to knock all the precinct cameras offline so they can escape the city. Unfortunately, that's not enough. Their car gets sideswiped by a semi because those realistic car crash scenes have become so popular -- and it gets me every time (the first one I remember was on the show Alias, although I don't know where it originated).
They take Grace, and Greer begins questioning her about Harold. She begins answering until he hints that he was lying to her. At that point, she has had enough of his creepiness, and does her best "Eww Jazz Hands" dance.
Meanwhile, Reese, Shaw and Root do their research from outside the city. They grab a ride concealed in a truck to where they believe Grace is being held. She's not there, but Samaritan's state of the art servers are there. They do find a tablet that the Machine uses to find Grace' true location. Reese and Shaw take off, while Root stays behind with the servers.
Reese and Shaw make the mistake of paying someone to drive their car on the other side of town as a diversion. When Decima stops the car, Greer immediately realizes that his location has been compromised, so he takes Grace to a new location before Shaw and Reese arrive in the trunk of a cab. Then he projects his giant creepy face on the wall to tell Virgil, the one poor geek he left behind, to off himself. He also insists that they trade Finch for Grace, or Grace dies.
Finch shows up regardless of the fact that Reese wants to help Grace escape without him. He insists on making the exchange, and asks Reese and Shaw to "kill them all" if they hurt Grace. At least Greer keeps Grace blindfolded so she can't see that Finch is still alive.
Before the exchange, Finch had seen to it that Grace got the job she wanted in Italy, so she can move away and out of further danger.
After getting his hands on Finch, Greer uses Samaritan to help law enforcement nab a terrorist. That makes the senator happy, and ready to go forward with it. For now, however, the beta test is over, and Samaritan is offline. So how will the gang fight this? Well, Root steals seven of Samaritan's servers, which she will no doubt use to even the score. It's not over!

A to Z Challenge Reflections (With Gifs and Tweets)

The A to Z Challenge is now over, and I have to say that it was a blast! I loved meeting a few new bloggers, and reading some wonderful posts. I'm not finished either. I didn't have time to visit all the blogs and posts I had wanted to, so I'm going to go back through as I have time to read and comment.

As some of you know, I started my blog on the first day of last year's challenge, and had so much fun that I just had to do it again. I also sort of felt that I had to, since A to Z is the reason this blog exists in the first place.

It was a bit tough for me this year, mainly because I gave myself a difficult task. I wanted to create at least one brand new gif each day, on the day of the letter the gif represented. For example, I went out and took photos of hearts, then created my H-day post on H-day. I knew it would be hard to keep up with it, but I've been wanting to speed up my gif-making. I thought the challenge would give me a chance to do that.

Well, I think it worked for the most part! I found new, creative ways of making various kinds of animated gifs, along with learning how to do them a bit more quickly. Best of all, I had fun! And now, I will end my reflections with the gif I created for the announcement my theme for this year's challenge, followed by some tweets:

'Grimm' 3x19 'Nobody Knows the Trubel I've Seen' Gif-Tweet-Cap: Trubel Rains Down on Portland!

I've also loaded the following gifs onto this Tumblr post. Grimm is gearing up for its Season 3 finale with "Nobody Knows the Trubel I've Seen" by introducing a brand new character, and giving Adalind (Claire Coffee) an even bigger reason than ever to rain down Hexen-hell on Nick (David Giuntoli). This is going to be epic!
The episode begins with sad Renard (Sasha Roiz), burying his troubles with booze. Former FBI Agent Weston Steward (C. Thomas Howell) is watching and ready to pounce, but our favorite police captain sneaks away before being murdered in full public view by former FBI. He probably did you a favor, dude!
Adalind shows up at Nick's house, hoping his mom can help get her baby back. If you remember from last week, the whole point of stealing the baby was for Mama Grimm to raise her in relative safety. Well, Adalind is not too happy that they can't help her, so she goes full woge on Juliette to nearly make her pee her pants.
Next, we see a young dark haired woman, known as Theresa "Trubel" Rubel (Jacqueline Toboni), walking around alone at night. Two "men" follow her, turn into Wesen, and appear to rape and kill her.
Back to Adalind: she's reallllly unhappy with Renard, since he's the one who took her baby and all. They go nasty-faced on each other, and have a Hexen-spat before Adalind gives up on him.
Back to murder-rape: Kirk (Conner B. Neddersen) and Richard (Sasha Golberg),  the two attackers, are the victims! Seems the poor innocent girl could handle herself just fine, and Nick wonders what sort of Wesen could kill a Lausenschlange and Klaustreich -- two of the most powerful Wesen.

Next stop for Adalind: Monroe's place! Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) are being their usual adorable selves, playing a sort of recycling-throwing game, when Adalind barges in, needing comforting hugs and snuggles. Knowing what sort of mayhem she would be capable if she ever finds out they were involved with the kidnapping of her baby, they are more than a little unnerved.
Nick and Hank go to Kirk's brother's (Aaron Trainor) house to ask questions, but he immediately freaks out upon seeing that Nick is a Grimm. He tells them that the only person who could have killed him is Nick, leaving Nick highly confused and worried about what may be out there.

Meanwhile, the Trubel undresses to take a shower, and we can see that she clearly gets into trouble often, judging by the number of serious scars. She's a regular Oliver Queen (Arrow reference -- I'll be writing about the finale, by the way).
Later, Monroe gets mortified-faced when he hears Rosalee tell Adalind that she can stay as long as she needs to.
Back to Trubel: Nick and Hank find an SUV she had been driving, with a French fry inside. Wu (Reggie Lee) uses his French-fry-tracking skills to find her favorite fast food joint.
Next, she kills a female Wesen attacker. Portland sure has a lot of indiscriminate Wesen-crime!
The gang check out the crime scene, taking Monroe along to help track her. He can't smell anything. Wu is confused to see Monroe hanging around when he gives Nick and Hank the location of the French fry's home, which happens to be near her hotel.
They finally spot her, but she's not easy to catch. Monroe freaks out, and she attacks him, revealing what everyone has been anticipating by now: she's a Grimm!
Nick attempts to reason with her, Grimm-style, but she has no idea what she is. She's simply terrified. She keeps trying to escape, forcing Nick to get rough with her. He finally breaks down and arrests her.
Meanwhile, Adalind has a nightmare about Renard handing her baby over to Viktor (Alexis Denisof), so she decides to call Viktor. She figures that if she plays her cards right, she can at least be with her baby in a big evil castle in Austria. Viktor's uncle (Dan Kremer) -- Renard's papa -- has shown up, and wants results, so Viktor pretends to still have the child, and tells Adalind she can see her baby if she kills Nick or removes his power (apparently, she can do that now that his blood is inside her -- remember, he took her powers in the first place by getting her to bite his lip).
Nick finds Trubel's "art" book -- apparently, all Grimm have an innate ability to doodle the Wesen they see, and he decides to let her out of jail and take her to the trailer. Once there, she sees that she's not a nut job after all -- every creature is documented. Looks like she will be staying with Nick and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) for awhile, and Nick will have his very own Grimm protege.
Back in Hexen-land, Adalind pretends to be cool about Renard stealing her baby so she can use him to get to Nick. Her devilish smile says it all. Renard, please don't fall for her shenanigans!

'Elementary' 2x21 Gif-Tweet-Cap 'The Man With the Twisted Lip': Almost-Finale Shenanigans!

I've loaded the following gifs on this Tumblr post. "The Man With the Twisted Lip" gets a bit more into sci-fi than usual for Elementary, although it is based on technology that currently exists. The only problem is that some of the details on how the technology could be used are a little off. Still, it's a fun episode, especially for sci-fi fanatics.

We begin with a drug abuse meeting in which Sherlock expresses his fear that his sobriety is threatened by that fact that he is "without peer."
During the meeting, Watson recognizes a woman named Tess from former meetings. She can't find her sister Paige, so Watson convinces Sherlock to help her, despite his protestation.

When they arrive home, they find Ms. Hudson and Mycroft cooking up dinner. Sherlock is not happy, and wonders whether Mycroft is only there to sleep with Joan (again). He assures Sherlock that he wants to visit Joan as a friend (although Sherlock has trouble believing it).
Later, as Sherlock and Watson search for Paige, but Sherlock makes the mistake of suggesting that he can "share custody" of Watson with Mycroft.
They find that Paige was using heroin again, obtaining them through a fake "delivery service." Watson "places an order," allowing the cops to bust the drug dealers.
Later, Watson shares dinner with Mycroft, and he confesses that he wants to be with her. The next morning, Sherlock wakes Watson early again so he can ask whether his brother "took liberties" with her. At least he made breakfast this time. He also has a lead on Paige, based on a clue he found that points to a place where she hangs out.
Sherlock and Watson each find a body, and one of them is Paige. They have each been murdered with something that creates an odd gunshot pattern. The man they find, Pillar, works for a company that makes drones. It appears as though Paige witnessed his murder, so the killer murdered her too.

Sherlock takes a break from the case to go to Mycroft's restaurant and ask Mycroft what his intentions are with Joan. Mycroft slaps him down with some truth about stifling Watson with his controlling nature. While there, Sherlock coincidentally spots what is likely a crime taking place.
Later, Sherlock brings up the shady goings-on at the restaurant, but Watson knows he was there to spy on her activities. A little mosquito interrupts their conversation, but it's actually a tiny drone! Sherlock suddenly has an epiphany: Pillar and Paige were killed by these itty bitty drones!
Later, Watson checks out the bad guys at the restaurant, while suggesting to Mycroft that she is planning on getting her own place so she can have some privacy.
Meanwhile, Sherlock's favorite hacker group, "Everyone," digs up info for Sherlock, finding that Pillar's psychiatrist was taking bribes and dealing in illegal Italian candy. They use this information to get him to talk about illegal drone tests that Pillar had witnessed, but one of those teensy drones poisons him before he can give up more details.
Pillar's laptop contains a copy of the report he was threatening to reveal publicly, but it had been stolen. Watson comes up with the brilliant idea of bluffing the bad guy, whoever he may be, by bluffing. Sherlock does so by holding up post-it notes for the spying mosquito drone, stating that he has another copy of the report.
The C.O.O of the company where Pillar worked is the man who shows up, so Sherlock texts Watson this information so she can break into the correct office and find the stolen laptop that contains the report. Busted! Best of all, the report goes public, as Pillar wanted!
After all is said and done, Sherlock apologizes to Watson for invading her privacy, but she reminds him that he only ever sorry after he gets what he wants.
Later, Watson follows one of the French Mafia bad guys from the restaurant. She calls Sherlock for backup, but he's too busy stashing some of the heroin he snuck from the "delivery service"... for later?!
Unfortunately, he doesn't know that Watson is busy getting kidnapped in a dark alley by a man who has a photo of her. He knew she was spying on him! Dun-dun-dunnnnnnn!
