Everyday in May & Monster Madness: I'm Sorry, Monsters!

I'm doing my Monday Every Day post a day early. Also, I have decided to do the one-week May Monster Madness, along with Blog Every Day in May. Today's Every Day prompt is: "Issue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be." So, I'm opting for funny and issuing an apology to all movie and TV monsters out there:

I'm sorry, movie and TV monsters, for not taking you more seriously. I should have thought of you as terrifying instead of stupid, as grotesquely misshapen figures instead of bad CGI. My enjoyment of your entertainment would have been tenfold. I would have been able to hop right into the action and been a part of it. I really only cheated myself. So, I sincerely apologize to all you TV and movie monsters. I will watch again, and enjoy immensely.

Edit: Although I wrote this a day early, I put the correct publish date, so it appears to have been written on Monday.

  1. Hi there! Looks like we have a lot in common. I'm in the May Challenge and the Blog Blitz too!

Love those movie monsters. My grandfather built the laboratory set for the original Frankenstein movie with Boris Karloff.

  2. Yay for movie and TV monsters! I was just watching Kolchak the Night Stalker on Netflix, so I have some bad movie monsters on the brain.

  3. I do NOT like monsters. I may be a big Bear, but they always terrify me. I'd rther deal witha changing Moose, than face a monster.

Here's the deal Kristen. Next time I see a monster, I'll send it your way. And run off in the opposite direction.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  5. Cute post, I'm not into monsters or scarey movies either. Making my way through the road trip after a-z, and doing the May challenge, but didn't opt to do it with all the blogs.

  10. What a fun combination!
And it's true: we only rob ourselves by refusing to give in when the monsters work so hard to entertain.

  11. Hokey as they are, I rather enjoy the TV movie monsters. Mega piranha was my favorite. Sharktopus is a close second.
