C is for 'Copper' and Cats (and More Cats)

Copper is a BBC America drama about Irish "coppers" (policemen) in the Five Points neighborhood of New York City during the American Civil War in the 1860s. The show only aired for two seasons, with it's second season ending around the end of Summer 2013. I used to recap the show for Yahoo TV in the second season.

One of the best things about the show was the fantastic acting. The setting and politics involved was also very good. I loved that we could learn a few things about history while enjoying a fantastic series. I was very sad to see it go, but I still hope it will return someday in one form or another. At least we get to see the actors in other places. For example, Ato Essandoh (who plays Dr. Matthew Freeman) is also a recurring character on Elementary, another show I gif-recap. Just for kicks, I’ve included a little meme I had created for the 2014 New Year, which you will find below the animated gif and tweets.
This gif is available for reblogging on this Tumblr post.
Here's a fun little Dr. Freeman meme I created for the 2014 new year:

In October 2012, I rescued a mama kitty (Miss Kitty) and her six kittens. So, of course, I had to do a little A to Z gif about Cats as well:

Last year's "C" post was "Cunning Cheetah Candids":

  7. Oh my gosh the babies in the box are too cute together! Such pretty kitties all around.

The show sounds interesting! I'd nt heard of it but so want to see it now. That's too bad it got canceled after only two seasons.

    Happy A to Z-ing!

    1. If you do watch it, just don't watch the last episode, because that's a cliffhanger, and the ep before wraps things up nicely. :) Thanks for the comment!

  9. I like British shows. I lived in Europe for 7 years and I find the humor and adventure more realistic and different from what we get on this side of the pond. #a2zchallenge stop

    1. Oh, I love them too! They are some of my favorite, although we have a few good ones here too. The only problem is that you have to turn your brain off for most of the U.S. shows. :)

  10. OMG! I love the cas - so cute. How do you make the gifs? I'd like to do it with my cats.

Good for you to rescue the mom and babies. I adopted a baby in Feb from PAWS.

    1. I use either video from a website or through my TV for the shows, and I use photos and video from my phone for my own content. I use photoshop for both when it's video, but sometimes I use the free version of giffer first if I'm including quite a few individual photos, as I did with this one. After that, I pull it into Photoshop to add text and fix the timing how I want it.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love when people adopt pets, and create loving homes for all the babies! :)
