Work is still getting in the way of writing blog posts and catching up with comments and new awards. I still plan on doing it, but it may be yet one more week before I can get there. I just have so much going on at the moment, and I still have to figure whether I want this blog to have some sort of theme other than random thoughts.
I also have to figure out a way to organize things, because I'm trying to do my article writing (for which I make my living), write a novel, and write on my blog. Since they are all forms of writing, it puts me in front of the computer for a very long portion of the day, doing the same thing in slightly different ways. I enjoy each format, but it gets confusing.
I'll post as often as I can anyway, but more that will be more likely once I can get caught up with comments. Otherwise, I start to feel guilty about getting comments without returning them.
Relax. A blog is more like a newspaper than electronic media. You can go back to a paper anytime you like, and pick up where you left off.

Bears Noting, Life in the Urban Forest (poetry)..
Things will settle down. But I agree, working on the novel comes before blogging :-)
ReplyDeleteTake a breath girl! Take it slow, and I am sure you will catch up on everything :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen! take your time and don't worry, work is more important! x
ReplyDeleteAt times we all need to play catch up... no worries....
ReplyDeleteLists, my dear. Make ye some lists and live by them. Seriously... it feels REALLY good to see your "to do" on paper and then you can pick one item and then write out the steps for that and then do the same with the next item. It will FEEL like busywork. It will BE busywork. But all the while it will be forcing your brain to recognize that "next" is something that can be accomplished and that after a series of "next"s (which you will have listed out) you'll have a finished goal and it won't be so overwhelming. List List List! Stat!
ReplyDeleteHello Kristen! I thought I'd pop over here from Sunni's blog, but had been meaning to visit anyway. I hope you enjoyed the blogging every day in May challenge. I finally started doing more writing and it feels good. I don't know if it's any more readable than it was before. At least it's something! I think lists are a good idea. I have loads of them. My problem is following them. Mary <3
ReplyDeleteI completely understand. ALL of it. I'm catching up on comments right as we speak. From the A-to-Z. Yeah. And I run into the same issue with finding time to write on my novel, edit, write blog posts, write articles, and write short stories. All different, but related. Good luck to you! If you find any great secrets, pass them along.

Sometimes I write in notebooks simply because I am sick of staring at a computer screen all day. I work an office job (sitting in front of a computer) and then go home to blog.
ReplyDeleteSunni from Surviving Life passed on the Liebster/Very Inspiring Blogger Award that you gave her to me so I thought I would pop in!

All the best with your writing-- I understand the challenges, because that is also my situation at the moment.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with finding a way to get everything done. And let me just say, you never really ever catch up with comments.
ReplyDeleteWhich is not to say you shouldn't try... ;-)
Good luck with all that writing.

I'm right there with ya sister! :)
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel lately. I always want to get back to everyone who leaves a comment and writing has taken over. It is always a balance issue.
ReplyDeleteHey Dear! Take your time and we'll be here to welcome you back :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have nominated you for the Wonderful Team Membership Award, if you would like, do accept.
