B is for 'Believe' (and Behold the Beguiling Beauty of the Beach)

Believe is a new show about a young girl named Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) who had been mistreated by a man (Kyle MacLachlan) who hopes to use her amazing telekinetic abilities for his own maleficent purposes. Milton (Delroy Lindo) is a man who wants to help her escape. He has paired Bo with her father William Tate (Jake McLaughlin), who was wrongly convicted of murder. Tate doesn't know that he's Bo's father, and it's not clear whether Bo knows either.

I don't write recaps for this show, but it's definitely one of my favorites. It reminds me of a show called Touch, only much better. The acting is very good, Bo is pushy and independent enough to get them into entertaining amounts of trouble, and I love the relationship between Bo and her father. Believe airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
