Y is for Yellow (and YAY!!)

Yellow is a special color around here for two reasons: it is my mother's favorite color, and it is the one color dogs can really see. I am not a big fan of yellow when it comes to buying things for myself, but I'm a huge fan of yellow in nature, mainly because my mother loves to garden, and loves the color so much. It makes me happy to think that she would love to see a specific yellow flower, and so I usually snap a photo and send it to her.

Did you know that dogs are mostly color blind? The one color they can see best is the color yellow, and Lulu really does seem to love it! I pulled out three of her favorite yellow toys for this gif. They all make various squeaky noises, with the chicken making the most amusing noise. Whenever she has a choice, Lulu always goes for the large greenish-yellow tennis ball. It has just the right feel, like a tennis ball, it's big enough that she can't choke on it, plus it actually squeaks! She loves it!
I have also made this gif available on this Tumblr post.
YAY!! I love to say yay, because it means I'm happy happy joy joy happy!!
Yes:
Yesterday. As with T, if yesterday had been for the letter "T," this would be recursive! That's because yesterday would be tomorrow, but tomorrow (today) is yesterday! Wait... what did I just say?
My Y for last year was "#Yellow #Yarrow #Yard":

M is for Max (the Puppy) and Mom

Max is my brother's brand new puppy. He's now almost three months old, but he was about two months when my brother first got him. My brother had an unexpected trip only two weeks after he got Max, so I agreed to take care of him for 10 days. Well, then he had another unexpected event come up, and he had to bring Max two days early, and he didn't know until the day he had to bring him! I was just setting things up and getting my head around it, but had to deal with having a brand new puppy for 12 days before I was ready.

It was extremely stressful, but I really love the little guy. My cats were scared to death of him, and he would try to chase them when he spotted them. I made a deal with them though, and I never went back on it: I kept them safe from the puppy. My dog Lulu was also very jealous, but they began playing tug-o-war together, and Lulu learned to tolerate him pretty well. I love Max so much, but I was very happy to see him get insanely happy to see his papa yesterday, and to send him home where he's got his own yard, and someone much better equipped to training a baby boy. And I'm a very happy Auntie Krissy!
This is common for Max. He goes crazy, but once he's had enough, he just stops and rests mid-play.
I've also made this gif available on this Tumblr post.
M is also about my #Mom. She doesn't like to share photos of herself online, so I can't gif her. What I can say is that she has become my best friend now that I'm older. We make a great team when we work together, and we have a great time when we hang out for "Girls' Day Out" every three weeks. She's just the best!
