'Teen Wolf' 4x1 'The Dark Moon' Gif-Tweet-Cap: Werecreatures Everywhere!

The following gifs are also available on this Tumblr post. "The Dark Moon" kicks off the Season 4 premiere of Teen Wolf, yay!
The episode starts with Lydia and Stiles together... in Mexico? They both seem to feel that they are in over their heads, but continue on anyway. They show some sort of card to gain access into a creepy guarded building, where they find... a dance club!
They are actually there to meet with the Calaveras boss-lady, Araya Calavera. In the Season 3 finale, she had sent her men to shoot Derek and force him to tell them where Kate is. Of course, Derek didn't even know Kate was alive until she showed up to abduct him a few minutes later.
In a flashback during the premiere, we learn that Scott found the Calaveras-imprinted bullets used to shoot Derek, so the gang took off for Mexico to go find him.

Lydia and Stiles find Araya at the back of the club, and offer her money to tell them where Derek is located. Meanwhile, Malia, Kira and Scott are all hiding out in the club by blending in.
Kira is a little... er... uncoordinated. That is, until Malia pulls her in for a little lesbian-infused dancing. As far as we know, both girls are straight, which means that showing their boobs bouncing together to the music is purely for the purpose of turning on guys and lesbians, since most of the viewership seems to skew straight female.
Araya refuses to accept the money-for-details offer, and orders her people to attack. Kira whips out some girly glow stick pink nunchucks so she can whip some ass. Malia and Scott prefer their fists.
Araya still manages to win the fight by gassing Scott and Kira with a little Wolfsbane. Then she forces Kira to torture Scott with electrocution until he realizes that Kate Argent is the culprit who took Derek. Who knew that pain makes Scott psychic? Turns out Araya already knew, and was just testing Scott to see what kind of werewolf he is... as in, one who has never killed an innocent or turned anyone.
Araya sends the team off with a guide -- Braeden -- to help them find Derek, who appears to be trapped underground in a coffin, molting. While in the jeep, Scott explains how the Calaveras stole Kate's body, then left her with a knife so she could commit suicide rather than turn into a werewolf. Instead, she killed six of Araya's men and escaped. Just as Scott finishes the story, Stiles' jeep breaks down! Scott goes with Braeden on her motorcycle, while Stiles promises to fix his jeep and be along soon.
After Scott leaves, Malia finds a bone knife stuck somewhere under the hood, revealing that the jeep has been sabotaged -- oh, and someone is watching them. Malia bolts to go find out who's watching, and ends up getting badly scratched in the side. Fortunately, Stiles gets the jeep fixed before anymore mayhem can occur, and they take off. Along the way, we learn that Malia has a crush on Stiles (she also kissed him earlier to beef up her powers so she could listen in on Scott's torture), and Lydia seems more than a little jealous.
Scott and Braeden decide to take a stroll under a church where were-jaguars used to (and perhaps still) live. It's filled with cobwebs to make it look creepy, but they're actually proof of disuse. It's a big surprise, then, when they find that a nasty looking creature that looks like a literal butt-faced Predator is sneaking behind them. According to Malia, it smells like death (assuming she came in contact with the same, or a similar, creature). Maybe it just smells like shit.
The thing begins to make a run at them, so Scott does his biggest wolfy-roar, scaring "everything," as Braeden says, and part of the cave collapses on the creature.
Then, they find the seal of the jaguar god on the wall, which somehow means they've found Derek, so Scott punches through it. Derek is hiding out inside, but he's not what you'd expect: he's just a kid. Yep, Kate managed to turn him into a youngster, which is great for all the young teens watching, but not so great for us older folk (20 and up) who prefer the Hoechlin-look. Ah well, let's just hope he grows up quickly!

T is for 'Teen Wolf' (and 'The Twilight Zone' and 'The Tomorrow People')

Teen Wolf is a fun fantasy show on MTV, for which I write my animated-gif-tweet-recaps. It's loosely based on the 1985 film with Michael J. Fox. Along with Almost Human, Grimm, and Arrow, it's perfect for giffing and tweeting. Unfortunately, it has quite a few problems. The show tends to get bogged down with showing stuff that looks really cool, while sacrificing some of the story. You really have to work through the nonsensical portions to get to the real story.

If you can do that, however, it's pretty awesome. And, of course, all that cool stuff is fun to watch even when it makes no sense. All the actors are very easy on the eyes as well. What can I say? It's created for teens, so it's geared toward hotness, creatively gross disgustingness that causes hormone-addled young lovers hold tight to each other, and a sick sort of humor on the part of the creators that allows them to laugh heartily as crazed teens take to Twitter to express their outrage that such-and-such character is dead or in trouble, or is really really mean and sucky.
The best thing about last season was the tremendous acting job by this young man, Dylan O'Brien.
He played both a sweet, nerdy teen, and an evil old man who had possessed his body. It was awesome!
I didn't have time to create a brand new gif, so I'm using one I created for one of the recaps.
I had also made it available on this Tumblr post.
One of my absolute favorite shows of all time is #TheTwilightZone. I truly believe that some of the episodes, such as "Eye of the Beholder," should be required viewing for youngsters. It may appear to be outdated these days, but it's truly mind-blowing. It really made you think, and used the awesomeness of sci-fi to do it! It was also the first show to start many trends we see later on. The first is usually the best though. For example, even in black and white, "Living Doll" is way creepier than any of the "Chucky" movies. Here are just a few of the endless movies and shows inspired by The Twilight Zone. And here are a few more. I could go on, but you get the point.
I'm really enjoying #TheTomorrowPeople on The CW. I didn't like it much in the beginning, but it has gotten better, in my opinion. It just needs a chance. Unfortunately, it probably won't get a second season.
#Tomorrow. Hey, if tomorrow was for the letter "Y," this would be recursive! That's because tomorrow would be yesterday, but yesterday (today) is tomorrow! Wait... what did I just say?
My "T" for last year was "#Teensy #Talks #to #Tippy":

'Teen Wolf' 3x24 'The Divine Move' GifTweetCap: Death and Destruction

Some of the following gifs are available on this Tumblr post. The episode "The Divine Move” continues directly from last week’s Teen Wolf. The Nogitsune is still being DoucheStiles (Dylan O’Brien), and the Oni, which now belong to him, have just killed Allison (Crystal Reed) after she killed one of them. As always, there are plenty of things that don’t make sense, but the series is also more exciting than it has ever been, mostly due to Dylan O'Brien’s amazing acting job as DuoStiles.
Of course, the episode begins with everyone mourning the loss of Allison... except her own father (J.R. Bourne), who compartmentalizes in order to do his job: killin' Oni sons o' bi*ches. But that's going to be difficult if he can't figure out how Allison did it.
While he tries to figure it out, the Oni go on a rampage, starting with the police station.
Meanwhile, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) patches up the twins by burning off the Moubtain Ash from the specialized bullets they were being shot with. The shooting was just a diversion anyway, so Nogitsune Stiles could steal the Oni without much trouble. Derek then goes into a speech about how they need to fight for their friends.
Dark Stiles and his Oni continue their rampage at the hospital, beginning with the poor cute guy at the front desk. They kill so many doctors and sick people that the remaining healthy people should try really hard to stay healthy and not break any major bones.
It turns out that they are only there to injure one person: Mama McCall (Melissa Ponzio), whose leg they slash on the hospital elevator. Geez, they could have done that without wiping out a quarter of the town's population! Then again, it's Teen Wolf, so nobody will remember them, since they aren't main characters.
The same thing goes for the station: the Oni are only there to injure Papa Stilinski (Linden Ashby), without killing him. Nobody else really matters.
They finally realize that Allison was able to kill the Oni because she used a silver arrow, and that must have been what she was trying to tell Scott (Tyler Posey) when she kept repeating, "You have to tell my dad," before she died. Couldn't she just have spit out, "silver arrow kills Oni" instead of repeating something useless before death?
Anyway, the gang hatch a plan, and Scott, Stiles, Lydia (Holland Roden) and Kira (Arden Cho) show up at school to find Dark Stiles. Instead, they walk into a winter wonderland. It's quite beautiful, actually.
While the others have Christmas in Spring, Derek and the twins prepare an attack on Evil Stiles and the Oni by opening their mouths really wide and growling loudly.
Back in the blizzard, Old Man Mummy shuffles over to Stiles to tell him that he is going to kill everyone Stiles cares about so he can win his stupid "game." Old men can be really grumpy and set in their ways sometimes!
As if killing his papa weren't enough, Mummy Face informs Stiles that he's also going to kill Dr. Deaton (Seth Gilliam), as if that's going to matter more to him. Then we cut to Dr. Deaton, fighting like a badass until a big sword slices his back.
Mummy Man offers Stiles an out: if his best friend Scott kills him, then everyone else can live. A fight ensues, until Stiles decides that offing himself may not be so bad after all. He did rise up out of barf-bandages, after all! But then he sees a curious sight: the reflection of a school book on the blade.
While Stiles ponders snow in his classroom, Chris Argent saves Derek and the twins by killing one of the Oni using one of his daughter's arrows. Unfortunately, Allison didn't really think things through: she only made one arrow for each Oni, not enough to make any mistakes.
Stiles realizes that they are standing within an illusion, so he tells Scott to power through multiple stabbings to get out, since none of it is real anyway. All they have to do is knock over the final Mummy Bowling Pin.
Chris offs all the Oni but one, making a dreaded mistake that causes one of the arrows to break. Luckily, Aidan (Max Carver) is there to grab it and shove it into the final Oni by hand. The bad news is that Aidan gets skewered at the same time, and the Oni heads off while the sword is still inside him so he can't recover from the wound. The good news is that the twin actors, Max and Charlie Carver, will have a lot more flexibility now that there are two of them to play just one character. I bet they're going to fool everybody and cover for each other! The other good news is that all the other injured people are OK now.
The final showdown arrives, and the gang gives Dark Stiles the secret of how they plan to kill him right before they set it in motion, for fans who would not have been able to figure it out. Good thing Dark Stiles is a slow-poke! The secret is that Nogitsune Stiles has to change, so Scott changes him, then Kira impales him.
Evil Fly escapes, but Isaac (Daniel Sharman) traps it.
Then, S.O.B. Stiles turns to dust, even though he is the one who had Stiles' original body, and Real Stiles was puked out in bandages. That's some trick, Trickster Stiles! Have I used enough Nogistiles adjectives yet?
Stiles Stiles (herein known as just Stiles... that is, not Just Stiles, but Stiles) faints over the whole ordeal, and is embarrassed to wake up with all his friends staring at him.
By the way, Danny (Keahu Kahuanui) had figured out long ago that Ethan (Charlie Carver) was a werewolf. In Beacon Hills, this sort of thing is common place, after all.
The episode then ends with a quick cliffhanger to make us excited for next season. Derek gets shot, and guess who shoots him?! Yep, Auntie Kate Argent is returning, with terrific Blue Face (don't worry, it's only racist to Smurfs, and they're too happy to care). Derek has a quick dream, indicating that a "scratch" can also turn someone into a werewolf. In this case, it was the ripping out of a throat that apparently transforms a person into a Blue Bitch.

'Teen Wolf' 3x23 'Insatiable' GifTweetCap: Who Dies?

Most of the following gifs are available on this Tumblr post. "Insatiable" is the second-to-last Teen Wolf episode of the season, and also contains the "falling of a hero," which had been advertised. Many fans were hoping that "falling" wouldn't necessarily mean dying, but those people were wayyy off. There's definitely some dying goin' on here!
The show starts with what first appears (because of past experience) to be some sort of heavy sexual encounter, until we see that Dr. Deaton (Seth Gilliam) is there and fully clothed, stuffing his hand down the throats of Isaac (Daniel Sharman) and the twins (Max Carver and Charlie Carver). No, it's still not sexual: he's just pulling out dead Evil Flies and black, tar-like gunk.
Oh, and the gang still doesn't know whether appear-from-thin-air, mummy-barf-mummy Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) is the "real" Stiles (even though he's not in his original body). The first tests are of course conducted by the most non-supernaturally-inclined, and least likely to be able to protect herself in the bunch: Mama McCall (Melissa Ponzio). And, she's in the room alone with him!
Just checking his vitals isn't enough, of course. Stiles calls on Mama Yukimura (Tamlyn Tomita) to bring on the Oni, so they can backward-5 mark him, despite Kira’s (Arden Cho) protests. They mark rather than kill him, proving he's the real Stiles (in a puke-mummy-built body).
Now that the gang knows he's not going to be evil-fly-infesting anyone, it's time for him to hug it out with Papa Stilinski (Linden Ashby).
Stiles isn't home free, however. He's freezing cold and feeling pain all over his body, which Scott (Tyler Posey) senses when he touches his friend's hand.
Then Meredith, who was in Eichen House with Stiles, inexplicably shows up in Coach’s (Orny Adams) class (oh yeah, and Coach Bobby is back.. and his name is Bobby). Turns out she's a banshee like Lydia, and she's hearing all kinds of death about to happen.
Meanwhile, the twins are being shot with wolfsbane by someone, and are in the process of dying until Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) comes along to try to save them. But they are in a remote location, and have no way to heal. Surely, one or both of them will die, right? Right?
The orderly at the mental hospital, who is a surprisingly mean bully, brings a few of his goons to force Meredith to come back to the hospital. He believes it's entirely appropriate and professional to begin by bullying Coach Bobby.
The evil-smirk-face orderly goes to grab Meredith while she's listening for death, and Coach takes care of him with his own taser because of the school's "anti-bullying policy." Then, he tases him again for cursing as the first jolt of pain went through his body.
While the rest of the gang searches for Lydia, she is being tormented by Evil Stiles in a way that is, for some fans, oddly terrifying and sexually arousing at the same time.
The gang brings Meredith back to Scott's house, where Scott’s dad (Matthew Del Negro) tells him the “big secret” about leaving because he was a drunk and knocked Scott over, so Melissa kicked him out. It’s not even worth going on about.
Back to Meredith: Scott’s dad wonders who she is, so Stiles fakes being her boyfriend, even though she prefers Scott. While Scott speaks with his dad, Stiles and Isaac spend quality time with Meredith in Scott’s bedroom. She hears Stiles' phone not ringing, so Stiles fake answers it for her so she can find out where Lydia is being held… in French, which Stiles seems to think sounds like Spanish.
She gives them the clues they need to find Lydia, and the entire gang descends on her location. Allison (Crystal Reed) has been busy forging arrows with Papa Argent (J.R. Bourne), and she shows up without him.
Kira's mom calls on the Oni, but she seems to forget that Nogitsune Stiles still has her last tail (the one he stabbed himself with in the previous episode). He also knows a nifty secret: he can only break the tail when the Oni are near. Once it's broken, the Oni belong to him.
While the rest of the gang fights outside, Stiles and Scott find Lydia. The only problem is that Stiles isn't feeling so hot. Will he be the one who eats it?
And Isaac is pretty much being cut into pieces. He's definitely about die.
But then Allison saves him by shooting one of her brand new shiny silver arrows into one of the Oni, and it begins to go up in a sort of yellowish, pea-greenish light rather than black smoke.
But before they all go up in smoke (or light, or whatever), another one of them stabs Allison.
So she's the one who dies! And right in the final couple of minutes too! How can the writer (Jeff Davis) make us suffer like that? They must be almost as evil as Dark Stiles! Dammit!
By the way, there was a special preview of The Maze Runner, a new movie starring Dylan O’Brien. His awesome acting will surely help to sell fans on this movie.
