Stay tuned for my theme reveal for the A to Z Blogfest! If you want to join the A to Z Blogfest, check out my A to Z tab (for 2014) above. I also have the signup for the Theme Reveal blog hop on the bottom of the same page, so you can join both, if you wish.
For those of you who follow me, you may already know this, but I actually started my blog because of the 2013 A to Z Challenge. I was writing for Yahoo TV, as well as doing a bit of work as a software engineer (which I have done for about 20 years), but I was getting a little bit bored with all that.
So, I was looking through some Google+ posts, and read about the A to Z Challenge. The challenge began that same day, and I didn't even have a personal blog yet! I was having an especially boring day, so I decided to create a blog, join the blogfest, then create my first post for the first letter. This all happened in one day! I managed to create a post for every day of the blogfest, and loved every second of it!
I didn't have a theme last time, but I'm going to go ahead and choose a theme this year. That's because I stopped writing for Yahoo TV for the most part, after my editor was laid off, and it was taking more than 10 days for them to review my recaps (which used to go up the same day, and were about to begin going up the same evening). I decided to begin writing all of my recaps on my own blog, and upgrade all of them to the animated-gif-tweet-recap I had just begun writing for Yahoo TV.
The main difference is that Yahoo TV limited all of my text including the code for the tweets to a certain number of words, so I had to use only a couple of tweets. In addition, I had to do exactly five animated gifs. Well, that just didn't do in some cases, so now I just do whatever the heck I want.
Oh, and the point of all this is to say that I wanted my theme to have something to do with the type of content I've been writing lately. I won't give it away completely yet, but you'll find out Friday! Have fun, and I hope some of you will join me! I had just as much fun reading what others had to say as I did writing my own posts. So try it out!
