A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal! Be Prepared for More Gifs!

This blog exists because of the A to Z Challenge. In fact, I heard of the challenge last year on the day it started. I set up my blog, joined the challenge, and created my first post, all on that first day. I had a great time! Last year, I didn't have a theme, but this year I've decided to do a format theme. The topics will have a TV bent, because that is most of what I write these days, but not all of my posts will be about TV. Instead, the format will be similar to the animated-gif-tweet-recaps I've been writing.

This is how they'll go: First, I'll have a short description, or "recap" of the subject matter. Then, I'll have at least one animated gif representing the word I've chosen for the day, which will correspond to the letter for that day. Here's an example, which represents the challenge in general:
A to Z covers all the letters of the alphabet for the month, taking Sundays off.
That gives us 26 days of blogging for April, which equals the number of letters in the alphabet.
As you may notice above, each letter forms the number of the day of the month for that letter.

After that, I'll follow that up with a few tweets pertaining to the subject. On some days, I may have up to three gifs with short captions, but only the main one will have a slightly longer description. I may also include a couple of tweets for those. After that, I may include one tweet each for any other words I may think up that begin with the letter of the day.

Each post will have very little text to read, so as not to bore my followers, and fellow A to Z participants, but will have plenty of fun stuff to look at! The full A to Z list with signup form can be found on the A to Z tab for 2014, above. The A to Z Theme Reveal Blog Hop and signup is below! Please join me, and have fun! 1. Thank you! I'll have to start putting my URL watermark on them, because I just know that some of them will be taken. Gotta make sure they know where it came from! :)

  4. First of all, I followed over from that last hyperlink you left at the A to Z Blog so that means you did it right that time.

I like the idea of your Challenge theme. Sounds fun and fast! The kind of stuff that a lot of bloggers will be looking for in April.

Glad you found the A to Z in 2013 and so glad you're back again!

  7. One of the things I love about subscribing to comments is finding people like you Kristen. It was quite by accident I clicked on your link, you are on to a winner here - GIFs are so now, the perfect snapshot to keep #atozchallenge bloggers coming back. I have jumped on the Twitter wagon this year - this might even be educational :)

  8. Kristen, I *love* your theme! I've recently begun teaching myself graphics animation (CS5), and although I'm far (far, far) from being even an amateur, I love it. It'll be fun to see your .gifs! (And thanks for keeping the posts short; we all appreciate it, even when we--ahem, *I*--have issues keeping my own under 300 words :D )

    1. Guilie,

I can so relate to the "short" post comment. I will write "War and Peace" 7 times a week, given the chance. I'm in a gaming clan, and was on our Council. My co-council who was a man of few words would say about 3 words what it had taken me 8 paragraphs to explain. He and I still laugh about that. So, yes, verbosity is one of my many sins. :D

  9. I also started my blog for the Challenge a couple of years ago, although I had a week instead of a day. Your GIF idea sounds very creative. I think the idea will be a draw card for A to Z Challenge participants. Bring on April.

  10. Kristen, I love your theme! I followed atong with "Almost Human" and loved it! This is so clever. I didn't realize you didn't have a blog until the A-to-Z challenge last year! I hope you're enjoying the insanity! Mary

  11. I like your TV and animated GIF theme for this year's challenge. And here I thought mine required a lot of work, lol. Yours sounds like a lot of work with all the compiling and such. Incorporating tweets in your theme also sounds like fun. Remember to use the #atozchallenge during your Twitter activities :)

    Cheers!
